S.T.E.M. Science Technology Engineering Mathematics

S.T.E.M. is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, S.T.E.M. integrates them into a cohesive learning model based on real-world applications. Our S.T.E.M. program is enhanced by a range of digital devices, including laptops, iPads and interactive whiteboards, available to all students in all classrooms.

At Pembroke Primary School, we value our S.T.E.M. learning, believing it to be an essential way to learn about the world, develop problem solving and thinking skills, and consider possibilities. Through S.T.E.M., our students learn to form hypothesis, test reasoning and value the importance of precision and double-checking when discovering answers.

We are thrilled to offer a S.T.E.M. specialist teacher who takes each grade for 3 hours a week.
