Welcome to Pembroke PS

My name is Megan Ganter and I am the principal of Pembroke Primary School. We pride ourselves on our friendly community atmosphere and nurturing learning environment.

In 2017, we completed a 2.2 million dollar upgrade to our school and have beautiful new classrooms, STEM room and Library.

Our committed staff work together to enable each student to reach their potential as learners. We employ research-based teaching methods with a focus on developing high levels of English and Mathematics skills. We also offer a range of specialised programs including The Arts, Auslan, Physical Education and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) as well as activities such as Library, choir, Student Representative Council, camping program, interschool and representative sports, and a school production each year.

We encourage students to be respectful, responsible and trustworthy and we develop and promote these behaviours through the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support approach. We want all of our students to feel safe and happy at school.

If you are interested in enrolling, I encourage you to contact the school office to book in a tour.

Monday the 23rd of March will be the last day of Term 1. That is school holidays commence on Tuesday 24th March. Further details will be provided as directed by the Department of Education and Training.

Please be aware that the Victorian Department of Education and Training is providing regular updates to schools, to maximise the health and safety of all students and staff in response to the emerging outbreak of Novel Coronavirus. For the most up to date information, please go to: https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/department/Pages/coronavirus.aspx

Everyone arriving into Australia from overseas from midnight 15th March will be required to self-isolate for 14 days. This obviously includes students and staff who may be returning from overseas excursions or other travel. Importantly, it also includes parents and carers and any other relatives or friends of your students who are returning from overseas travel. As they are required to self-isolate, they must not visit the school to pick up children or for any other reason.

Alphabeenies has been postponed for Term 2. Please keep updated on our website for more details regarding the program in Term 3.

The Alphabeenies program is open to all 4 year old preschool children as part of our foundation transition program.
