AUSLAN

Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is the language used by many people in Australia’s Deaf community, using hand signs, facial expressions and body movements to communicate.

All students from Foundation to Year 6 learn Auslan through fun, engaging and practical activities that build communication skills and confidence while fostering the joy of learning another language.

​

As a living and contemporary language, Auslan also gives students an opportunity to learn about and appreciate Deaf culture, identity and community.
